Online Utility Bill Payment

You will need to click the 'register now' button when you use the site for the first time. To set up your account you will need your utility account number and the name on the account. Both those items can be found on the bill you receive in the mail. If you need help using online bill payment, please contact City Hall at (319) 462-6055.

The City of Anamosa is taking the following measures to avoid or slow the spread of the Covid-19 virus. Effective Monday 23-March City Hall will be closed to the public, this closure will continue until further notice. Please check the City of Anamosa's website and Facebook page for updates as they become available.

Anamosa City Hall will continue to be staffed, phones will be answered, mail will be collected and work performed as usual. We will attempt to conduct as much business as possible through electronic means. To make utility payments please access the drop box located on the West side of City Hall building. The City has also made online electronic payments for utility bills available at the City website (http://www.anamosa-iowa.org/). If in person contact is necessary, appointments may be scheduled by calling City Hall at 319-462-6055.

At this time City Council meetings will continue to be held at City Hall, although we are requesting the public to refrain from attending the meetings to comply with the President's order of no more than 10 people gathering at any given time. Tapings of council meetings will be available for viewing on the City's website. If the public has any questions or comments on an agenda item prior to the meeting they can contact the City Administrator, Mayor or Council member at respective phone numbers listed on the City's website. City Council meeting agendas will continue to be posted in advance on the door of City Hall and our website. The City of Anamosa is working to provide live electronic access to the City Council meetings so that the public can continue to participate while abiding by the current social distancing recommendations. More information about this option will be provided as it becomes available. As of March 16 the Anamosa Public Library and Lawrence Community Center have been closed to the public and will remain closed until further notice.

While these measures may seem extreme, they must be taken to ensure the safety of our valued employees and the City's citizens. Please visit the Center for Disease Control https://www.cdc.gov/ and Iowa Department of Public Health https://idph.iowa.gov/ websites for more up to date information on the Covid-19 virus. If we all take the necessary precautions and do our part we will get through this.
